Exhibition “On days like these” in Schleswig until June 14th

German song lyrics presented in powerful images - this is the exhibition by the award-winning photographer Hans-Jürgen Burkard in the nos.PHOTOMENTA, the photo art gallery of the Nord-Ostsee Sparkasse in Schleswig.

Exhibition “On Days Like These” for the first time in the north

After stops in several other federal states, the exhibition is now being shown in Schleswig-Holstein for the first time. The 14 large-format, color-intensive images can be seen in the nos.FOTOMENTA in Schleswig until June 2024, 80 - in the “Guggenheim of the North”, as long-time former GEO editor-in-chief Peter-Matthias Gaede alluded to the exhibition building in his opening speech architectural similarities with the legendary museum in New York.

With the project “On days like these” those responsible at nos.FOTOMENTA are taking a new approach: for the first time, motifs from the exhibition are also being presented outside the main building: in the Schleswig City Museum, in the city library, in the adult education center and thanks to the willingness to cooperate of homeowners, Business people and real estate agents – BHS Immobilien and Lüttmer Property Management – ​​also in Schleswiger Ladenstraße.

With this unusual initiative, the reach of the exhibition offering was significantly increased and additional attention was attracted.
