Peter Rathmann is an internationally renowned food and still-life photographer. His work is characterized by a clear, minimalist visual language and creative staging. Alongside this, he is developing an independent artistic practice in the fields of street and architectural photography. Peter Rathmann is a member of the German Society for Photography (DGPh) and the BFF – Professional Association of Freelance Photographers and Filmmakers.

“Going Up The Country”: From February 13 to March 23, 2025, the Gallery for Photography (GAF) in Hanover will be showing the USA portfolio of the photo artist Peter Rathmann for the first time – the image results of a road trip through 34 states of the country.

Under the title “Das LebensMittel” the Nord-Ostsee Sparkasse is showing food photographs by Peter Rathmann from March 28th to September 13th, 2019.
The Photo Reflections is a state photography exhibition in Schleswig-Holstein that takes place every three years. They are starting for the sixth time this year and will open on August 19, 2018 in the city gallery in the Elbeforum Brunsbüttel. Applications are possible until May 31, 2018.
