Preview: Fujifilm GFX 100S test report

Selected: For the camera manufacturer Fujifilm and the magazine “FineArtPrinter” I was able to test the brand new medium format camera GFX 100S including three Fujinon lenses in my “favorite location”, the Holm fishing settlement in Schleswig.
The new GFX 100S: It is, so to speak, the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” in current photography technology – a handy camera the size of a Nikon, Canon or Sony, but equipped with a much larger sensor in 44 x 33 mm format and a resolution of 102 megapixels. A special feature of the GFX 100S is the integrated image stabilization. It enables sharp handheld shots even in low light, pushing the limits of the medium format system a bit.
Hunt for motifs with the Fujifilm GFX 100S
I spent two weeks hunting for beautiful lighting moods for the test report on the Holm, mostly early in the morning and late in the evening. One day I invited the Holmer fishermen and their families to a portrait session with the Fujifilm GFX 100S - in an improvised open-air studio on one of the old jetties, with nets and fish traps in the background.
These atmospheric fishing portraits and some other photos taken with the test camera will be included in the colored version of my exhibition from July 1, 2021 "turning point" can be seen in the Nord-Ostsee Sparkasse in Schleswig.
The portfolio with my test results will appear exclusively on several pages in the “FineArtPrinter” magazine on June 25, 2021. Until then, unfortunately, I am condemned to silence...
However, there is a small visual foretaste here, produced with this great camera. But nothing more!
